Merit Medical Systems Inc is hiring a Procurement and Sustainability Specialist in South Jordan, UT. About the Role*

Merit Medical Systems Inc is seeking a Supply Chain Sustainability Expert to lead our efforts in developing and implementing sustainable procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will partner with procurement professionals and senior business leaders across various departments to:
• Develop and Implement Sustainable Procurement Strategies: Design and coordinate the effective implementation of the Supplier Sustainability Program across Merit's global network.
• Foster Strong Partnerships: Build engagement and alignment with senior business leaders across various departments, including Procurement, Operations, EHS&S, Supply Chain, Compliance & Risk, Audit, Legal, Government Affairs, HR, and Finance.
• Supplier Selection and Evaluation: Assist in the process for selecting, approving, and evaluating suppliers to meet Merit's specified requirements regarding supplier sustainability, including:
• Reviewing and supporting the type and extent of control exercised over suppliers based on risk.
• Reviewing and analyzing data related to supplier approval and performance to specified requirements, providing reports to management as needed.
• Internal/External Supplier Management: Support handling and resolving supplier sustainability-related issues using Merit's risk management process as needed.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:
• A bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field and two years of work-related experience.
• Proven track record in Supplier Sustainability Programs across multiple organizations preferred.
• Working knowledge of ISO regulations and requirements.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills at all levels within the organization.
