Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Purchasing/Procurement Manager to oversee our electrical construction sourcing and purchasing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions that align with the company's goals. This role will also involve forecasting inventory needs based on consumption history and future scheduled projects to maintain optimal stock levels. Work alongside a Warehouse Manager to ensure the company’s Construction department has access to the materials required to support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure efficient sourcing of goods and services.

· Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms.

· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize value and minimize risk.

· Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing activities to maintain optimal stock levels.

· Forecast inventory needs based on consumption history and future scheduled projects to prevent shortages or excess stock.

· Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Construction departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.

· Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, new suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.

· Develop, track, and report key functional metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement activities and inventory utilization.

· Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes to ensure a smooth supply chain.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

· Direct experience in construction-related purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.

· Knowledge of inventory management software. Direct experience in Sage is a plus.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

· Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.

· Experience in the construction industry preferred.
