Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is seeking a Sr. Procurement Manager, Logistics for Asia, based in Mumbai, Thailand, Philippines, or Indonesia. The role involves managing a significant procurement budget and ensuring sustainable sourcing. Part of the Global Business Operation family, Procurement manages over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers, over half of them in MBS. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Purpose of the Job:

Asia accounts for half of the global consumer base and more than a third of Unilever’s turnover. This role is responsible for co-creating and implementing Procurement Strategies for the Transportation portfolio in 12 key markets across Asia.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Transportation portfolio sourcing strategies make sure UL is competitive, delivering world-class service levels, improving on safety & sustainability of operations, and building purpose-led partnerships for warehousing services across the markets.

Key Accountabilities:

You are expected to lead the strategy creation and execution with Country leads to deliver on the key metrics of world-class service, competitive cost, safety, and sustainability.
• Working with market leads to understand business requirements across countries for cost, quality, safety, service, and sustainability.
• Understanding spend as well as the total cost of ownership for the company in the market.
• Finding the right sources for generating new or leveraging existing competitive insights for benchmarking.
• Co-creating the sourcing strategy to optimally meet sourcing specifications.
• Identifying and implementing next-generation tools and processes to optimize sourcing practices.
• Building team capability by driving key learning and development programmes.
• Working closely with Internal Procurement teams and Operations Excellence teams to monitor performance and drive key initiatives.
• Creating an inclusive team environment.

Key Contacts:

You will work alongside multiple Internal and External Stakeholders, key being:
• Internal: Unilever Logistics Procurement and Excellence Teams, Unilever Finance Teams, Unilever IT Teams.
• External: Suppliers.

Travel:

The role will involve regional travel for 20% of the year.

Skills:

An ideal candidate is expected to have:
• Strong analytical skills.
• Financial analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and any Indian language preferable.

The following Procurement skills will be an added advantage:
• Portfolio Strategy Development.
• Negotiation.
• Strategic Supplier Partnerships.
• Digital sourcing Platforms knowledge.

Education and Experience:

The candidate should have:
• Either a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Management.
• Or a master’s degree with specialization in Procurement / Supply Chain with at least 4 years experience.
• Relevant experience in Procurement / operations of Transportation Services.
