Procurement Engineer - solar Industry

KCP Eco Energy is hiring a Procurement Engineer for their solar projects in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and procuring solar materials, evaluating vendor quotations, and ensuring timely delivery. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and at least 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector. This is a full-time, in-person position with a salary of ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 per month.
About the Role:

KCP Eco Energy is seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Engineer to manage and streamline the procurement of solar-related materials and services. This role is crucial for ensuring cost-efficient, timely, and quality-based procurement of components, equipment, and services for solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Source, negotiate, and procure solar materials (modules, inverters, cables, etc.) at the best possible rates.
• Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure they meet technical and commercial requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specs and delivery timelines.
• Maintain vendor database and build strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure timely delivery and track material dispatches for multiple project sites.
• Handle documentation including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Monitor stock levels, lead times, and procurement schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budget guidelines, and industry standards.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or relevant field).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in solar EPC or renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of solar materials, vendor markets, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally/ERP systems, and basic documentation.
