Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist

Carbon Clean is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist in Mumbai, India. The role involves planning and executing sourcing activities, liaising with stakeholders, leading the RFx cycle, ensuring compliance, and reporting on procurement activities. Candidates should have experience in sourcing within the R&D sector and a strong supplier network in Maharashtra. The position offers hybrid working options, allowing up to 3 days of remote work per week.
Your key focus will be:

Plan, execute and monitor all sourcing and purchasing activities for the Innovation Center in Mumbai, in line with directions set by the Procurement Manager and guidance provided by the Technology / R&D Managers
• Liaise directly with internal stakeholders to understand upcoming sourcing requirements (scope, schedule) and plan sourcing and purchasing activities
• Identify potential sources of supply and prepare requisition documents (EOI, RFI, RFP, RFQ)
• Lead the RFx cycle from documents preparation until contract award, including negotiation of price, terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Execute contracts and purchase orders in full compliance with CC Delegation of Authority (DoA) framework and authorization levels
• Expedite purchase orders fulfillment to secure on time and in full (OTIF) delivery as requested by the internal stakeholders. Proactively lead problem solving initiatives in case of delayed deliveries, including root cause analysis for delays.
• Issue regular reports on sourcing and purchasing for the Innovation Center activities as will be agreed with the procurement manager
• Ensure compliance to the company policies and procedures throughout the sourcing and purchasing cycle.
• Act as the single point of contact for any SC related needs towards the Innovation Center team in Mumbai
• Participate in Supply Chain Team continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Is this the job for me?

To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
• Experience with leading sourcing and purchasing activities within India region and with focus on Research & Development or Laboratory testing initiatives
• Good understanding of the end to end supply chain management process
• Broad network of an industrial supplier base within Maharastra state in India, with special focus on Chemicals, Chemical Plants and Engineering domain.
• Previously demonstrated high level of aptitude, diligence and collaboration within a team;
• Experience of working with equipment suppliers, service providers and/or EPC contractors as well as internal stakeholders in a matrix organization
• Comfortable with understanding and inputting to contractual language and familiar with bid documentation, both internal and from third parties;
