Process Operator

• Delta Biofuel is seeking a strong technical thinker and experienced facility operator to take a role as Process Operator for its ground-breaking bagasse pelletizing facility in Jeanerette, Louisiana. Delta is seeking immediate involvement of an ideal candidate who can take part in the establishment of policy and procedures for the plant. In addition to being a strong technical thinker, the candidate should be able to show a history of working in a team, encouraging community, and collaborating with others. Significant experience is also required regarding ability to establish safe operating practices and follow safety guidelines and create a healthy work environment for all employees. Delta will support relocation for qualified individuals.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the facilities process equipment operations
• Maintain clean and safe workplace
• Work on a rotating 12-hr shift schedule while remaining focused and punctual (Dupont Schedule)
• Analyze feedstock, washing, drying, and pelletizing equipment performance to establish areas for improvements
• Ensure adherence to rules, procedures, and workplace policies
• Learn and execute processes and operating plans / procedures to effectively use available resources
• Manage, inspect, and report on specific aspects of the operating facility production systems and equipment

Qualifications
• Recommended but not required associates degree in process technology or relevant field
• 2+ years of experience in continuous process operations management
• Experience in material handling continuous operations
• Experience in pelletizing biomass is a distinct differentiator
• Experience in control board operations is of significant value
• Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
