H&P Executive Search is seeking a Senior Analyst for a middle-market private equity firm in Greenwich, CT. The role involves sourcing deals, conducting due diligence, and portfolio management, particularly in the healthcare sector. Candidates should have 1.5+ years of investment banking experience. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $190K–$200K, benefits, and a clear path to promotion within one year.
Position Overview:
H&P is currently retained with a well-established and growing middle-market private equity firm based in the NYC area, seeking a highly motivated and analytically strong Senior Analyst to join their investment team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with seasoned investors in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, with a clear one-year track to Associate.
The firm recently closed their third fund and is actively deploying capital in the healthcare space. The Senior Analyst will play an integral role across all stages of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio management. This role is ideal for candidates with 1.5+ years of investment banking experience, particularly those with exposure to M&A in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deal Sourcing & Market Research: Support deal origination through market mapping, sector analysis, and proactive outreach to management teams and intermediaries within healthcare services.
• Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential investments. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and scenario planning.
• Due Diligence: Assist in leading due diligence efforts, including financial, operational, legal, and commercial diligence in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Investment Memos & Presentations: Develop investment materials and presentations for internal and external use, including memos for the investment committee.
• Transaction Execution: Work alongside senior team members to negotiate deal terms, manage advisors, and support all aspects of transaction execution from LOI through close.
• Portfolio Management: Engage with portfolio company leadership on key strategic initiatives, financial tracking, performance reporting, and value creation planning.
• Industry Expertise Development: Build and leverage knowledge of healthcare subsectors to help refine investment theses and identify areas of opportunity.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1.5+ years of investment banking experience, ideally with exposure to healthcare M&A or related sectors.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to grow within a small, high-impact team.
Preferred Attributes:
• Prior healthcare investment banking experience or a demonstrable interest in the healthcare industry.
• Experience supporting transaction execution and due diligence efforts.
• Ambition to grow into a long-term investing role within private equity.
