Print Technician – 5 Crew
Doncaster Plant
Role description
As the department continues to grow and develop, Ardagh Glass is now looking to recruit for the position of Print Technician, working on crew and reporting directly to the Print Facility Team Leader. The role will ensure a continuous operation of the print department equipment by carrying out maintenance and repairs, reacting to breakdowns and also identifying and implementing continuous improvement ideas to help improve the print departments production process.
Responsibilities
• Identify and rectify faults on packaging/process equipment to include print machines, palletisers, shuttle cars, strappers and other production machinery.
• Identity and implement continuous improvement projects to support and improve standard operating procedures.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance in the print department.
• Communicate and liaise with print and cold end personnel and management to ensure the internal customers’ needs are fulfilled.
• Use plant monitoring systems to diagnose issues to help efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare and modify equipment for maintenance stops, Source and order defective equipment, components
Required Skills / Qualifications
• Educated to HNC level in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of the operation of production equipment, in process controlling and packaging
• Strong communicator
• Good at problem solving and be organised.
• Experience with an F.M.C.G. Company
What we offer
• Salary Minimum £43,424 - £51,247 Maximum per annum (Grade 6 1788 hours)
• Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
• Normal shift pattern is determined by the 5-crew shift rota, however, typically consists of a two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts and then a six-day rest period, which includes 21 shifts when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota - Holidays are built into the shift 5 crew rota
