Overview

GFT is seeking a Principle Water Resources Project Manager to support a variety of projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Baltimore office.

Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

This person will Independently apply advanced theories, concepts, and principles of engineering to resolve crucial issues and unique conditions within the Water Business Line. Serves as a technical specialist in analyzing the components of water projects, establishing design criteria and executing designs. Manages large projects or clients and serves as Project Principal for smaller projects. Actively engaged at a national level in professional societies.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Leads the development of project design concepts and criteria and researches large or complex project elements
• Has responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating large or complex engineering assignments
• Manage complex project team integrated with multiple disciplines of over 25 people
• Provides QA/QC reviews
• Supervises a staff of Engineers or Technicians as an Area Manager or Regional BL Leader
• Manages business planning activities
• Participates in development of Water BL strategy
• Responsible for client management of key clients
• Directs all aspects of capture management from prospect identification through contract negotiation

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:
• BS in Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License and ability to obtain multiple jurisdictions
• 15+ years of applicable experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of advanced (3D) design software and advanced computational software applications
• Project Management experience of significant projects, both size and risk
• Experience with supervision of staff
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to lead client presentations
• National recognition for water experience or expertise
• Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members

What we prefer you bring:
• PMP or BCEE preferred
• Masters Degree

Compensation:

The Salary range for this position is $118,00-$180,00. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
