What you’ll achieve
As a Principal Software Engineer you will architect, design and develop sophisticated software and systems management firmware for Dell's storage products within the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG).

You will:
•Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software
•Prepare, review and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems
•Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/for storage products and systems

Essential Requirements
• 8+ years of related experience or equivalent skill; must include experience with server, storage, networking and client technologies
• Proficiency in C/C++ with a strong understanding of Linux operating systems
• Good knowledge of firmware; device drivers; system, network, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; related tools and utilities
• Exceptional debugging skills with experience guiding others to code and debug flexible, scalable and complex programs using either written or verbal design specifications
• Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems quickly

Desirable Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $220,000.
