Principal Scientist - Contract

Meet Life Sciences is seeking a Principal Scientist for a contract position in Los Angeles, CA. We're looking for a hands-on scientist with deep expertise in protein-ligand interactions, assay development, and molecular or structural biology. This is a 100% lab-based role in a fast-moving, start-up biotech environment. It is perfect for someone who thrives on data, curiosity, and experimental rigor. This is a 40 hour/week contract opportunity.

Location: Los Angeles, CA (100% on-site)

Summary:
• Design and run critical experiments around protein-ligand binding and mechanistic biology
• Analyze complex datasets (e.g. biophysics, structural, transcriptomic)
• Collaborate across disciplines to advance discovery programs

Requirements:
• PhD in molecular biology, chemical biology, structural biology, or related field
• 2+ years post-PhD (biotech/startup experience strongly preferred)
• Skilled in lab-based discovery; comfortable in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments
• Experience with natural products, proteostasis, or transcriptomics is a plus
• 100% committed to on-site lab work — you live in the data and love the bench
