About the Role:

As Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take the lead in designing complex electro-mechanical energy storage products from a blank slate through to high volume manufacture. You’ll work in a collaborative, supportive environment where your ideas are valued, and your professional growth is prioritized.

What You’ll Do:
• Create 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, and bill of materials
• Lead design-for-manufacturing (DFM) reviews, ensuring efficiency and sustainability
• Support failure analyses and FMEA development with a solution-oriented mindset
• Build strong partnerships with OEMs, vendors, manufacturers, and key suppliers

What they’re Looking For:
• 7-10+ years of mechanical design experience in energy storage, power products or automotive & aerospace if you have high volume DFM experience for sheet metal and/or injection molded parts
• Strong understanding of applying first principles / engineering methodology to ambiguous requirements
• Experience of FEA for structural parts
• Hands-on experience with prototyping tools (3D printers, CNC machines, etc.)
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
