Job Description
CMS Communications and Management for Sustainability is seeking a Principal Fisheries Consultant in London, UK, for marine and freshwater projects. This full-time role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote and in-office work. Candidates should have at least 8 years of relevant experience, a post-graduate degree in a related field, and strong project management skills. We specialise in aquatic resources, in particular fisheries and aquaculture. /p p strong About this job: /strong /p p We are currently seeking a Principal Fisheries Consultant to work on marine and freshwater fisheries and aquaculture projects. This is a full-time position based in central London, with a hybrid working arrangement (remote and in-office), and opportunities for overseas travel. Please ensure you are eligible to live and work in the UK before applying. /p p Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in the sustainable use and management of fisheries, aquaculture and associated ecosystems in an area relevant to MRAG's work (see a href="#" MRAG website /a ). The ideal candidate will be highly qualified and motivated, with a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience. Your primary role will be to implement projects within MRAG's portfolio, but you will also need to participate and manage the full project cycle, from tendering to implementation. Experience managing a diverse project portfolio and an established network of contacts is essential. Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage. /p p strong Required experience and skills: /strong /p ul li Post-graduate degree in marine biology, fisheries science or another relevant subject. /li li Minimum of 8 years' professional experience in fisheries and aquaculture sector. /li li Experience managing the full project cycle, including contractual and budgeting aspects. /li li Proven experience in new business development and a network of relevant contacts. /li li Experience leading and managing project teams. /li li Excellent written, presentation and quantitative analytic skills, with a track record of producing high quality outputs. /li li Broad geographical experience in projects related to fisheries and aquaculture. /li li Strong communication skills, both within teams and with clients and project partners.
