We are seeking a Principal Level Environmental Engineer or Environmental Geologist to join our prestigious and growing Environmental Consulting firm in Torrance, California. Skills
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology/Hydrogeology
• California Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license
• Experience with environmental investigations, particularly chlorinated solvent projects (Strongly Preferred)
• Strong writing skills for proposals, reports, and communications
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with regulators, attorneys, and clients
• Ability to manage projects and personnel, including office management
• Experience with litigation support and insurance-funded projects is a plus
• Business development experience is a plus
Responsibilities
• Manage the Torrance, CA office, including staff workload and mentoring
• Oversee all aspects of projects, ensuring compliance and quality delivery
• Conduct technical reviews of work plans, reports, and project correspondence
• Design and implement remediation systems at commercial and industrial sites
• Evaluate data to support litigation needs of clients
Qualifications
• 15-20 years of environmental consulting industry experience
• Strong project management and personnel management experience
• Proven ability to write effectively for various stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in office management and workflow optimization
Education Requirements
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology/Hydrogeology
Education Requirements Credential Category
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license
