Job Description
Carbon Health is hiring a Primary Care Medical Assistant in Santa Clara, CA. Responsibilities include patient care tasks such as taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering medications, managing front desk duties, and ensuring excellent patient experiences. Candidates should have a medical assistant certification, BLS certification, and at least one year of experience. The role requires weekday availability, with some locations needing weekend work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Perform patient care such as taking vitals, patient history and triaging
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes
• Carry out ear lavages and run EKGs
• Draw and process blood work
• Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed
• Create an excellent patient care experience
• Process prior authorizations
• Closely monitor patient messages inbox and task inbox
ABOUT YOU
• Certificate of completion from an accredited medical assistant program and/or a State or National certification as a Medical assistant in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant
• Ability to work weekdays. (Some locations require weekend availability) Current schedule is Mon, Tues, Wed, subject to change.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience
• Great communication skills
• Strong with medical terminology and previous experience with ICD/CPT codes
$29 - $29 an hour
