Description

We are looking for a Prepress Technician to join the B + W team.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
• Detail oriented individual needed with technical experience to perform daily prepress tasks.
• Working experience with receiving, preparing and producing digital files for print production with the ability to follow direction and job specifications.
• This is a technical position in a creative environment, not a creative position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Primary duties include assembly and heavy trapping of supplied files for plate-ready separations.
• Proofing and checking for accuracy.
• Additional duties include preflight of supplied art, creation of mechanical art, die templates, mock-ups, plate making and plate setup, as well as file management and archiving.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Prepress Production required.
• Experience with reverse printing helpful.
• Packaging experience a plus.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Required: Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Mac OSX.
• Desirable: Working experience with Flexographic printing. Color management.
• Strong communication skills.

EDUCATION
• Desired: AA or better in Graphic Arts, Commercial Art, Pre-media, Print Production, or similar.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
