Sustainable Westchester is hiring a Summer Intern for its Solar team in Mount Kisco, NY. The role involves research, data analysis, content development, and community outreach focused on solar energy adoption. Location: Mount Kisco, NY (Hybrid)
Reports to: Solar Team - Senior Program Manager
Sustainable Westchester is seeking an intern to support our Solar team this summer. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability, policy, and community outreach while making a real impact. You must be part of the Prep for Prep internship program to apply.
Responsibilities
• Research & Analysis – Explore policies, technologies, and trends to expand solar adoption, especially in underserved communities.
• Data & Mapping – Use Excel and GIS tools to assess solar energy potential and track impact.
• Content Development – Assist with marketing materials, reports, and communications.
• Community Outreach – Support webinars, presentations, and outreach campaigns.
Qualifications
• Passion for clean energy and sustainability
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
