About the role
We are currently seeking a proactive Practice Assistant to join our Construction team in Perth. This opportunity will provide variety in your day-to-day and is being offered on full-time, 12-month contract basis to cover parental leave. In this role you will support our Construction Partner, Katherine Vines and her team.
The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
• Building and maintaining client and internal relationships
• Coordinating meetings and arranging travel
• Managing calendars and inboxes
• Billing, expense management and reporting
• Matter management including opening and closing files, archiving, electronic filing, and physical filing
• Other general administrative tasks

About You
• Minimum of 2 years in a legal support role (such as Legal Assistant, Practice Assistant, Legal Executive or Legal Secretary)
• Sound knowledge of the monthly billing process in a legal environment - experience with Elite highly regarded
• Typing speed of 70+ wpm
• Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to analyse, problem solve and apply appropriate use of judgement
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
