Job Summary:

We are looking for an Electrical Systems Design Manager to lead the design of electrical systems for energy-efficient buildings and microgrids. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution systems, and renewable energy sources.

Responsibilities include:
• Managing electrical engineering teams to deliver high-quality designs
• Developing and implementing electrical design standards and guidelines
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical design details
• Mentoring less experienced staff to foster their professional development
• Providing technical guidance to electrical staff and assisting with process development

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a graduate degree in electrical engineering or a related field, completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, and professional engineering licensure. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role with an energy firm, electrical utility, electrical firm, MEP firm, or multi-discipline architectural & engineering firm is also required.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and familiarity with sustainability practices and net-zero building principles. Experience with SKM Power Tools or equivalent, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit is highly desirable.
