Luminant Power LLC is seeking a Power Plant Technician in Springfield, MA. The role involves operating and monitoring power plant systems, executing plant shut-downs, and performing maintenance. Candidates need a minimum of 6 years of experience and a Massachusetts Stationary Second Class Engineering License. Job Summary

Responsible for the overall operations to include operating, monitoring, and controlling the status of all power plant systems from the Control Room. Executes plant shut-down and start ups, responds to alarms and equipment issues, coordinates maintenance and work with current plant conditions and commercial commitments. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet. Responsible for promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation. Pay range between $38-$64 hourly, depending upon skills/experience. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus of up to 8%, up to 4% profit sharing, up to 6% dollar-for-dollar match toward the employee's 401k, and medical/dental/vision benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents. **New hires with an applicable Massachusetts license may be eligible for a sign-on bonus as part of the total compensation package. Job Description

Key Accountabilities:
• Inspects, repairs, and maintains various types of plant equipment
• May direct the work of employees
• Understands and is able to ensure proper operation of the plant. May be responsible for plant oversight in the absence of management
• Repairs and calibrates equipment
• Troubleshoots equipment and systems
• Develops and implements plant operating procedures
• Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE
• Actively trains others in area of expertise
• Performs technical work or analysis of processes in areas of expertise
• Gains knowledge of the entire plant cycle and how it functions

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of related experience required
• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass Poss/Mass exam
• Satisfactory completion of Tier 3 within primary skill for position job performance measure
• Satisfactory completion of Tier 2 within another skill area job performance measure
• Demonstrate effective oral and verbal communications skills
• Massachusetts Stationary Second Class Engineering License REQUIRED.

Key Metrics:
• Satisfactory completion of Tier 4 Job Performance Measures in primary job and satisfactory completion of Tier 2 Job Performance Measures in another skill.
• Demonstrate continual self improvement in job skills and knowledge.
