Policy Research Assistant for Energy and Climate

The Council on Foreign Relations is seeking a Policy Research Assistant for Energy and Climate in Washington, DC. The role involves conducting research on clean energy and climate issues, providing administrative support to the Senior Fellow, and assisting with program management for the CFR Initiative on Climate and Energy. This is a full-time position within a collaborative team focused on American foreign policy and international affairs.

The Research Associate will join a team of experienced researchers and analysts working on various projects related to energy and climate change.
Responsibilities
• Conduct research on clean energy technology innovation, international climate cooperation, investment and finance for the energy transition, trade and industrial policy related to climate and clean energy, and other topics as requested by the Senior Fellow
• Provide logistical and administrative support to the Senior Fellow, including scheduling and calendar management, handling phone calls and media requests, making travel arrangements, and drafting correspondence
• Work closely with the Senior Fellow and other staff supporting the upcoming CFR Initiative on Climate and Energy on research and convening activities, as well as assisting with program management and budget for the initiative
