Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, and interactive activities.
• Collaborate with technical experts within Octopus to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
• Customise the delivery of training programs to meet the specific needs of individual learners.
• Conduct training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques, such as lectures, group discussions, case studies, and simulations.
• Adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
• Provide clear instructions and explanations to ensure understanding of complex concepts.
• Evaluate participants' knowledge and skills before, during, and after training sessions.
• Use assessment tools, such as quizzes, tests, or observations, to measure learning outcomes.
• Provide feedback to participants to help them improve their performance
• Monitor your own training effectiveness and work with the quality team to implement suggested improvements
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new training techniques.
• Seek feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
• Update training materials and methods to reflect changes in technology, regulations, or organisational policies.Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant training qualification eg. TAQA
• Proven experience as a trainer or facilitator, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
• Experience assessing apprentices
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of participants.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Proficiency in using training software and multimedia tools.
• Experience in the plumbing and heating industry.
