Bunnings is seeking a part-time People & Culture Advisor to join their National Support Office in Burnley, VIC. The role involves providing HR support to over 55,000 team members, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with legislation. Join Our Team as a People & Culture Advisor!

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the big green shed? Ready to make a real impact with one of Australia’s most iconic and trusted brands? Look no further! The Bunnings People Advisory Team is on the hunt for a dynamic People & Culture Advisor to join us in a part-time role at our National Support Office in Burnley (just behind Richmond).

About the Role

Join a large, dynamic team supporting over 55,000 team members nationwide! Reporting to our People Advisory Team Leader, you’ll be the go-to expert, providing top-notch advice, support, and solutions to Bunnings leaders and team members on all people-related matters. As the first point of contact for a wide variety of HR cases across the country, you’ll work a flexible roster between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to attend the Support Office two days a week.

As a People Advisor you will
• Champion employee relations grievances and investigations
• Masterfully resolve complex injury management matters
• Be the guiding light for leaders over the phone
• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
• Negotiate outcomes to mitigate business risks
• Track and record cases using our cutting-edge HR case management system

About You

Joining a highly supportive team you’re an experienced HR professional with a solid background in employee relations who is adept at handling a variety of cases in a large business setting. You’re a relationship builder with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills. You are process-driven, outcome-focused, and have a knack for taking initiative to achieve pragmatic outcomes.

You will additionally have:
• Tertiary qualification in Law, HR, Business, Commerce, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
• Experience in a HR role with a focus on employee relations, ideally in a multi-site organisation
• Ability to interpret Industrial Instruments (EA/Awards)
• Sound knowledge of employee relations legislation
• Experience before the Fair Work Commission and conciliations is a plus
