The position also involves making rounds to ensure safety within the buildings, checking and replacing oxygen supplies as needed, and transporting materials to and from the proper departments. In addition to these responsibilities, the Maintenance worker will be tasked with changing light bulbs, checking air conditioning and refrigeration units, and making plumbing, electrical, heating, and air conditioning repairs. The role requires the operation of power equipment and hand tools, as well as performing carpentry duties as assigned. The individual must possess the ability to function independently, have flexibility, and work effectively with clients and co-workers. Responsibilities
• Performs maintenance and repair duties as required on various buildings or areas and equipment.

• Stocks department supplies.
,
• Checks equipment for proper operation and makes minor adjustments if necessary.
,
• Makes rounds to ensure safety within buildings.
,
• Checks oxygen supplies and functioning ability; replaces oxygen as needed.
,
• Transports materials to/from proper departments; clears loading dock area.
,
• Changes light bulbs as needed.
,
• Checks air conditioning and refrigeration units and charges as necessary.
,
• Installs equipment as needed.
,
• Removes snow manually from walkways and entranceways or removes snow from other areas and/or cuts grass, as required.

• Makes plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs.

• Makes repairs to damaged equipment.
,
• Operates power equipment and hand tools to perform essential job duties.

• Paints required fixtures, buildings and other objects as directed.

• Performs carpentry duties as assigned.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year experience in an office environment preferred.

• Must be able to speak and understand the English language.

• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and a willingness to travel as needed.

• Knowledge of the methods, tools and practices used in general maintenance and construction.

• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

• Ability to utilize County vehicles and various equipment such as a snowblower, tractor, hand tools, drill press, etc.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

• Ability to accurately and safely complete general repairs and maintenance on heating, air conditioning and plumbing needs.

• Considerable knowledge of local codes and regulations and ability to troubleshoot problem areas.
