Job Description

Anglian Water Services is seeking Seasonal Rangers for a zero-hour contract at Rutland Water. The role involves maintaining cycling and walking paths, managing land and woodland, organizing fishing events, and ensuring visitor safety. Candidates should have experience in park or fishery management, excellent customer service skills, and be flexible with availability on weekends. Seasonal Zero Hour Contract

10.46 Per Hour (£11.52 per hour from April 2023)

Rutland Water

We are searching for Seasonal Rangers to join the team, undertaking the maintenance of the Water Park.

We are looking for friendly, customer focused people to join the team, where you will maintain our cycling and walking paths and keep our car parks tidy to ensure visitors have a safe and pleasurable visit. You will also carry out land and woodland management, organise and deliver fishing events and work closely with the Head Ranger to ensure visitor safety.

Finally, you will have the opportunity to develop commercial fishing events and promote the fishery and wider water park via our social media channels.

What does it take to be a Park Ranger?  
• Experience in the maintenance and management of country parks and/or fisheries
• Experience in land management and/or water based practical qualification (desirable)
• Excellent customer service skills 
• Excellent communication and social skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to be flexible and willingness to learn  
• Availability to work weekends  
• Show enthusiasm about our parks and ability to share enthusiasm with customers  
• Full driving licence required
