PROJECT FINANCE SPECIALIST

The Project Finance Specialist has a mission-critical role within the organization. This individual is responsible for the processing of project finance applications, documents, and approvals. You will work with internal teams to obtain the necessary financing approvals for each new project. This role will consist of time spent predominantly in the office working with Project Managers, Designers, and Consultants additional duties as needed.

Daily Responsibilities
• Review project sales and installation data for completeness and accuracy before submitting financing applications.
• Track and manage financing applications with third-party lenders and financial institutions
• Prepare and submit post-installation documentation packages required for financier project payouts, including photo sets, completion forms, system specifications, and other required deliverables.
• Monitor lender portals and communications for rejected submissions; diagnose the issue and coordinate corrective actions internally.
• Create service work orders to address site issues flagged by financiers (e.g., missing or incorrect equipment, photos not meeting spec, incomplete installations).
• Submit Permission to Operate (PTO) letters from utility companies to financiers as a final milestone to generate final loan disbursements and project closeouts.
• Maintain accurate records of project finance status, submission history, and payout progress across CRM and internal tracking tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales consultants, the service department, and our design team to gather missing documentation or address financing roadblocks.

Ongoing and Strategic Tasks
• Stay current on lender documentation requirements, photo guidelines, and payout triggers to ensure compliance and expedite approvals.
• Work closely with the operations and service teams to streamline issue resolution for rejected finance or payout submissions.
• Track trends in rejections or delays and recommend process improvements to minimize recurring issues.
• Assist with revenue recognition efforts by ensuring timely and complete submission of final project documents (PTO, closeout, etc.).
• Support finance and accounting teams with data and documentation for reconciliation and audit purposes.

Success in This Role Looks Like:
• Financing and payout submissions are accurate and timely, resulting in prompt project funding and minimal rejections.
• Rejected items are resolved efficiently through collaboration with internal teams, keeping projects and payments on track.
• PTO letters are submitted quickly after utility approval, ensuring final payments are triggered without delay.
• You are recognized as a critical hub between the finance, operations, and service departments, ensuring the financial health and project flow of the company.
• Candidate should have background from Solar Design Industry US based.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹840,000.00 per year
