Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is currently seeking a Solar Fleet Team Engineer who can apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. This candidate will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes. This position requires supervision only related to high level objective and critical issues.

Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to:
• Be the primary analyst for ETAP based arc flash reviews and projects
• Support development of capital part replacements and work plans
• Become a subject matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturer
• Conducting root-cause analysis (RCA) for critical or persistent issues at solar sites
• Assist with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues
• Support the event analysis reviews for accuracy and countermeasure development
• Support responding to NERC and ISO data requests

Desired Qualifications Are:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience working in solar
• Experience conducting RCAs and working with vendors
