Operations Technician

Operations Technician Location: Den Helder, Netherlands Contract Duration: 12 months Start Date: ASAP Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Join our dynamic team as an Operations Technician in the Oil & Gas industry, where you'll have the autonomy to operate production facilities and contribute to optimizing production while ensuring safety and asset integrity. Role Overview Safely operate plant processes and equipment to meet safety, environmental, production, and cost targets. Ensure compliance with natural gas, oil, and condensate quality and quantity specifications. Respond to process alarms and maintain operations within the Operating Envelope. Manage start-up and shutdown of wells and facilities. Conduct operator monitoring rounds and safety inspections, addressing any observations. Support scheduled and unscheduled first-line maintenance activities. Provide a safe working environment using quality Permits to Work (PTW) and Assist & Assure techniques. Execute maintenance and operational activities safely through risk assessment and mitigation. Prepare, apply, and remove process isolations as needed. Maintain critical documentation such as Operating Procedures, process drawings, and Work Instructions. Participate in project and business meetings to provide operational input. Skills & Qualifications Completed VAPRO B, Procesoperator B or equivalent (EVC). Relevant experience in production operations within the oil & gas or chemical industry. Experience with operational risk evaluation and control during activity execution. Prior experience in Maintenance, Activity Scheduling, or Well Services is advantageous. Curiosity to learn about conventional oil & gas operations and production facilities. Education & Experience Qualifications: Completed VAPRO B, Procesoperator B or equivalent certification.
