The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead a team and drive efficient operations in waste collections? Join our team in this newly created role. In this role, you’ll ensure that our services are delivered safely on time, and to the highest standards, positively impacting our customers and the community.
Key Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To
• Oversee daily rear lift and side lift collections operations, including rostering, route planning, and monitoring driver performance.
• Supervise, support, and motivate a team of drivers and collections staff, fostering a positive and safety-focused work environment.
• Conduct daily pre-starts, safety briefings, and toolbox talks to keep the team informed and focused on safety and compliance.
• Perform fatigue, mass and speed audit checks and provide driver coaching and training as required.
• Address operational issues promptly as needed to meet customer demands.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records and reports.
About You
• Proven experience in an operations or supervisory role, ideally within a logistics, or waste management environment is desirable.
• Heavy rigid (HR) driver's license is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to resolving operational challenges.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance, with experience conducting safety briefings and managing incident reports.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with team members and handle customer inquiries professionally.
