What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
• Serve as primary backup to the Area Production Leader, assisting in day-to-day coordination, troubleshooting and decision-making as needed.
• Development of training materials and curriculum for the area while continually working to improve its effectiveness. Focus applied to process knowledge, understanding and troubleshooting not captured by traditional “How To" approach in SOPs.
• Administer training progression and certification in compliance with the site procedure. Identify gaps and implement corrective training plans as needed.
• Maintain area SOPs and process documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Act as the gatekeeper for maintenance needs within the area, prioritizing and scheduling work requests in alignment with production goals.
• Serve as the quality lead for the area, ensuring products meet specifications, conducting audits, and leading root-cause investigations when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, and quality, to improve efficiency and solve operational issues.
• Serve as the Operations representative on key improvement and capital projects.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities) :
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the specific operational area or related manufacturing environment.
• Fully trained and certified in all processes within the assigned area.
• Demonstrated ability to train others and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong understanding of quality principles, safety protocols, and maintenance coordination.
• Organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Familiarity with digital training tracking systems or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Ability to lead small group meetings and deliver effective training sessions.
• Strong Computer skills with Microsoft Word/Excel capabilities.
• Change agent with a desire to grow their contribution.
