This role encompasses the O&M Technician levels I, II, and III based on your experience.

The hourly rate ranges from $32.32 to $52.27, depending on the level.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

You will serve as an Operations Technician, responsible for the operation and troubleshooting of equipment and systems. Your goal is to support safe and reliable plant operations while maximizing asset value.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Operate, monitor, and maintain various equipment including turbines, generators, pumps, scrubber plants, and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to manage work orders and spare parts inventory.
• Lead problem identification for equipment or systems and recommend practical solutions.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functioning.
• Conduct electrical maintenance on generators, transformers, and MOVs.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment such as power and control circuits, motors, and transformers using electrical testing instruments.
• Develop and implement operating procedures to ensure consistent and safe equipment performance.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner during assigned shifts, adhering to environmental standards and work management processes, including the proper use of safety equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION SCOPE

You are expected to communicate effectively across all organizational levels. You must meet specific testing requirements and qualifications before assuming this role, with a continuous commitment to enhancing your electrical blocking knowledge.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate's degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics OR a High School Diploma with at least 18 months of relevant trade or technical training.
• Successfully complete training requirements, time in job criteria, and pass the EEI TECH test.
• Strong electrical background.
• Flexible availability for rotation schedules including night/day shifts and overtime as needed.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Familiarity with power plant schematics.
• A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
• Able to work in a power plant environment, which may include climbing and traversing long distances.
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
