The Better India is seeking a Motion Graphics Artist to create 2D infographics for live-action short documentaries. The role involves designing and animating graphics, collaborating with creative teams, and ensuring high-quality visual storytelling. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in motion graphics, proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Illustrator, and strong communication skills. This position is a full-time remote job, preferably for candidates located in Bengaluru, India.

Position Overview:

The Better India is seeking a Senior Video Editor to join our team of passionate storytellers who create content that inspires and drives change. The ideal candidate is an expert in crafting impactful short documentaries (3-5 minutes), has a strong command of color grading, and is proficient in After Effects. This role also involves leading and mentoring a team of editors while ensuring seamless project execution.

Mandatory Requirement –

1 – 4K Editing-Capable computer

2 – Access to a minimum 100 Mbps internet connection.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing & Post-Production

Edit short documentaries showcasing changemakers, grassroots stories, and innovative solutions, aligning with The Better India’s ethos. Perform advanced color grading to enhance visual consistency and storytelling. Use Adobe After Effects to create motion graphics and infographics that elevate content. Deliver optimized content for multiple platforms, including web and social media.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Manage, mentor, and guide a team of video editors to produce high-quality, impactful content. Provide constructive feedback on edits, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and deadlines. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.

Creative Collaboration

Work closely with producers, writers, and directors to understand project objectives and refine narratives. Brainstorm creative concepts and editing styles to resonate with The Better India’s audience. Stay updated on video storytelling trends to adopt innovative techniques.

Technical & Workflow Management

Oversee the post-production process, ensuring a streamlined workflow from raw footage to final output. Maintain an organized asset management system for efficient project handling. Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth delivery of high-quality content.

Mandatory Requirements:

Equipment:A 4K editing-capable computer with sufficient processing power for seamless video editing.Internet Connectivity:A stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps to handle large file uploads/downloads and remote collaboration effectively.

Experience:

Qualifications :

5+ years in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing impactful short documentaries.Previous experience in digital media, content platforms, or similar organizations.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.Proficiency in color grading tools like DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.Familiarity with camera raw workflows, codecs, and export formats.
