Job Description

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an Occupational Safety & Health Manager for its Environment, Safety, Health and Quality department in Idaho Falls, ID. The role involves leading OS&H activities, managing a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with safety requirements. Candidates must have a relevant degree and experience, including management experience. The position offers competitive pay and benefits but requires on-site work, as it is not remote.
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Occupational Safety & Health (OS&H) Manager to work in our Environment, Safety, Health and Quality department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex with every Friday off.

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking an experienced and motivated OS&H Manager for the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) Directorate. You will lead and manage the OS&H activities of the deployed staff within the directorate, building a high-functioning, multidisciplinary team. The role requires conducting employee performance appraisals and working independently with minimal supervision. You will report to the Director of Occupational Safety and Health.

Responsibilities
• Manage the Occupational Safety & Health (OS&H) organizational activities of MFC Mission/Line and deployed OS&H staff.
• Build and lead a high-functioning multidisciplinary OS&H team.
• Serve as a single point of contact to the MFC Mission/Line Directors, representing the Occupational Safety and Health organization at mission/line management meetings.
• Maintain a working knowledge and communication path with the OS&H Director, MFC Safety and Compliance Director, ESH&Q Division Directorate/Managers, and other OS&H/ES&H managers.
• Coordinate and convey necessary resources (budget, manpower, expertise, equipment) to execute OS&H processes requested by the Mission/Line.
• Provide feedback on issues, concerns, and performance indicators, and accomplishments for inclusion in Management Review Meetings.
• Implement company, corporate, and customer OS&H requirements, addressing and resolving OS&H functional and technical issues.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in a safety-related field (industrial safety, industrial hygiene, fire protection) or related with 5 years of relevant experience, or Masters in a safety-related field with 2 years of Relevant experience.
• 2 years professional management or supervision experience.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Job Information
• The target pay range for this position is $154,733 - $231,971 annually. The full pay range is $105,516 - $269,052. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
• TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
