Nature's Classroom is seeking Outdoor/Environmental Educators for a seasonal residential program in Charlton, MA. About the position

As an Outdoor/Environmental Educator, you will play a pivotal role in our seasonal residential program, which operates during the school year. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about educating children in an outdoor setting, providing them with unique learning experiences that foster personal growth and environmental awareness. The program typically runs in the spring and fall, with hiring occurring during the winter and summer months. In this role, you will serve as both a group leader and teacher, guiding students through a variety of academic classes that you will develop and present. You will supervise middle school-aged students during their field experiences, ensuring their safety and engagement in the activities. Additionally, you will facilitate team-building initiatives and manage low ropes course activities, which are essential for promoting collaboration and problem-solving skills among students. Evening activities and mealtime duties will also be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to create a supportive and nurturing environment for the students. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (Paid internships are available for people who do not yet hold a bachelor's degree)

• Energetic, dedicated & able to become involved in all aspects of the program

• Special skills (music, singing, storytelling) helpful

• Experience working with children preferred
