O&M Technician - Renewable Engineering Industry

Hire Resolve is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician in Somerset West, Cape Town, for the Solar Energy industry. Responsibilities include site inspections, maintenance scheduling, performance reporting, and client relations. Candidates should be qualified electricians or have 5 years of relevant experience, with skills in IT/communications and solar knowledge. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits but is not remote.
Hire Resolve’s client in the Solar Energy industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Operations and Maintenance Technician in Somerset West, Cape Town.

Responsibilities:
• Perform site inspections as required in preparation for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) after project completion.
• Schedule and conduct maintenance and repairs on all related components of a PV system.
• Complete O&M inspection checklists.
• Send monthly performance reports to the Head of O&M.
• Liaise with the Head of O&M for resource requirements, including the Bill of Materials when needed.
• Manage client relations specific to O&M.
• Maintain and develop department documentation related to O&M.
• Stay up to date with the latest Solar Performance Standards.
• Check DC compliance.
• Conduct project site production runs and site visits in preparation for handover to the O&M department.

Requirements:
• Qualified Electrician or minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• IT/Communications and Solar knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
