Northern Utah Grassroots Coordinator

The Northern Utah Grassroots Coordinator at Grow the Flow will engage in community outreach by attending public events throughout Northern Utah, managing volunteers, and representing the organization. The role involves tabling, speaking, and grassroots organizing, providing opportunities to connect with local communities and lawmakers. This is a full-time position requiring travel within the region.
In order to build a robust citizen lobby ready to act for Great Salt Lake, Grow the Flow needs a consistent presence at community events throughout the watershed. The Community Outreach Coordinator will identify public events, lead communications with event organizers, and represent Grow the Flow. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage a subset of Grow the Flow volunteers and interns (in a chapter structure) to participate in tabling and public communication. Representation at said events will often include tabling, speaking on behalf of Grow the Flow, or participating in grass-roots organizing activities. Community events will take place throughout Northern Utah—from Bear Lake to Salt Lake—and they will provide a unique opportunity for the Coordinator to travel the watershed, learn from distinct communities, and connect with the places and people we call home.
