We are looking for a Net Zero Carbon & Sustainability Manager to lead the development and delivery of the HMRC Net Zero Carbon Reduction Plan. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with sustainability policies, monitoring energy and environmental performance, and driving innovative carbon reduction strategies.Key Responsibilities Lead and manage HMRC’s Net Zero Carbon Reduction Plan, aligning with government sustainability targetsMonitor and report on carbon emissions (Scopes 1, 2 & 3), energy efficiency, and sustainability initiativesConduct environmental audits and ensure compliance with legislation such as the Greening Government CommitmentsWork closely with stakeholders to drive responsible procurement and sustainability best practicesDevelop and implement decarbonisation and energy efficiency strategiesProvide oversight on energy projects, ensuring return on investment and successful outcomesRepresent the organisation at external meetings and industry eventsWhat We’re Looking For Professional membership: IEMA (Practitioner) or Energy Institute (Member level) or equivalentExpertise in carbon accounting and reporting (Scopes 1, 2 & 3 5+ years of experience in sustainability, particularly in buildings/facilities managementStrong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, BREEAM, and low-carbon technologiesExperience in waste management, utilities data analysis, and energy monitoringExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholdersProficiency in MS 365, CAFM/CMMS, and Power BIWhy Join Us?Be at the forefront of net-zero initiatives and sustainability leadership Work with a collaborative and forward-thinking teamPlay a crucial role in driving environmental impact at a national levelAccess to ongoing learning and development opportunitiesIf you’re ready to make a difference and take sustainability to the next level, we’d love to hear from you!What we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
