Environmental Law Attorney

A state government agency is seeking an experienced Environmental Law Attorney to join their Natural Resources Law team.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Represent state agencies in litigation matters related to environmental issues
• Provide pre-litigation advice and handle all aspects of pre-trial and trial litigation
• Prosecute civil environmental enforcement cases and defend state agency actions
• Advise on compliance with open meeting laws and other legal matters
• Handle cases involving air pollution, water rights, endangered species, and more

Required Qualifications:
• Proven litigation experience, including drafting motions, conducting depositions, and trial work
• Knowledge of or interest in environmental law and policy
• Strong independent and collaborative work skills
• Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities
