Kennedy/Jenks Consulting is hiring a Municipal Wastewater Treatment Engineer in Honolulu, HI. Kennedy Jenks is seeking a collaborative Municipal Wastewater Treatment Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for municipal wastewater treatment projects across the organization. This position will apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis for solution development, effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, and manage and provide technical leadership on wastewater treatment projects. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead projects focused on detailed design and project management of small to large civil infrastructure projects, including wastewater treatment studies and plant upgrades.
• Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems.
• Lead process design in feasibility studies and facility plans.
• Lead the development of calculations, drawings, and specifications for complex wastewater treatment upgrades.
• Support client service managers and business development efforts, serving as a technical subject matter expert at in-person and virtual meetings and project interviews. Participate in project pursuits and interviews, including developing treatment process innovations, technical approaches, and scope items.
• Develop scope and budget for new project opportunities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues interested in wastewater treatment project work.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in wastewater treatment engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Licensure in one or more states (CA, CO, FL, HI, OR, TX, VA, WA) preferred.
• Experience in municipal wastewater treatment with strong technical knowledge, including preparing calculations, design reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and collaborate positively with clients.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Design-Build experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $110,000 to $200,000, and may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
