Position Summary
Responsible for the operation, preventive maintenance, and clean-up of stationary and mobile equipment and to maintain a safe work area. Provide manual assistance to assigned projects.
Pay Range: $22.81 - $34.38 per hour (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)
Reporting Relationship: Mine Operations Supervisor
Location: Gillette, Wyoming
Essential Functions
• Complete all requirements of the WRD Operation Technician Sr and maintain satisfactory and safe job performance.
• Communicate with supervisor on operating conditions and other pertinent information of assigned work areas and vehicles. (i.e. conveyor, load out, mobile equipment, etc.).
• Be familiar with equipment operating limits, parameters, operating procedures and systems and perform corrective actions if limits are exceeded in assigned equipment.
• Utilize proper operating techniques of assigned equipment and assist with moving conveyor and trailing cables.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Work safely, following company policies, procedures and work practices in a positive, cooperative, and productive manner.
• Complete all required computer and paperwork.
• Maintain professional working relations with mine personnel.
• Assist other mine personnel or job task as directed.
What Is Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain MSHA certification within 90 days of hire.
What Is Desired
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary mine equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance on mobile and stationary mine equipment.
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with individuals and small groups of employees.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals to complete work assigned.
