Description

We are seeking a full-time Mid to Senior Level Environmental Chemist to join our Ventura, Burbank, or San Diego, California office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional capable of working independently within a team structure, ensuring lab work is completed accurately, and analyzing data returned from the lab. Responsibilities will also include report completion and data validation and verification.

Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of laboratory analytical methods and field sampling methods/equipment
• Familiarity with U.S. EPA SW-846 methods and regulatory programs (RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA)
• Ability to serve as both a team leader and team player
• Experience with field sample collection and data analysis

Responsibilities
• Oversee chemical data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation for environmental consulting work
• Develop project quality assurance plans and sampling analysis plans
• Serve as Chemical Data Quality Control officer; interact with clients on environmental chemistry and planning
• Manage subcontracted analytical laboratory services and resolve technical issues
• Mentor junior to mid-level chemists and ensure data quality
• Collaborate with environmental database managers to enhance the Environmental Data Management System (EDMS)

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, environmental cleanup, or laboratory settings
• Demonstrated passion for producing quality work and contributing to a positive work environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or closely related science or engineering field
