VFLOWTECH PTE. LTD. is seeking a Microgrid Design Engineer for their Faridabad, Haryana office. The role involves designing microgrid systems, integrating renewable energy sources, and developing control algorithms. Candidates should have expertise in power systems, embedded systems, and regulatory compliance. VFLOWTECH focuses on innovative energy storage solutions using Vanadium redox flow technology, aiming to create a sustainable energy future.

VFlowTech (VFT) is reinventing energy storage with Vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable Vanadium redox flow batteries in the world. VFT solution is proven to be one of the safest, most durable and environmentally friendly battery technologies.

VFT is a spin-off of the CleanTech lab of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and benefits from unique IP arising from many years of intensive research at NTU. VFT founders and management team have deep experience in the renewable space, and Vanadium redox flow technology. We are currently recruiting talents to join our Faridabad Office site, Delhi (NCR) India.

Role requirement:

VFlowTech is involved in the design, development and deployment of Advanced Energy Storage Systems and Microgrids with flow batteries and hybrid system including other technologies. We are looking for a Power system expert with experience on micro-grid design and development.

Microgrid System Design:
Design and develop microgrid systems with a focus on integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage solutions, and load management.
Perform detailed system design including sizing, converter selection, and integration with batteries.
Develop electrical schematics, system layouts, and wiring diagrams.

Converter and Controller Integration:
Select appropriate converters for battery integration within microgrid systems.
Develop and implement control algorithms for microgrid operation and energy management.
Ensure seamless integration of converters with microgrid controllers and other system components.

Logic and Embedded Systems Development:
Design and develop embedded system solutions for microgrid control and operation.
Develop logic for microgrid operation including energy flow management, load balancing, and fault detection.
Program and configure microcontrollers, PLCs, and other control devices for optimal microgrid performance.

Technical Analysis and Optimization:
Conduct performance analysis and optimization studies for microgrid systems.
Perform reliability and efficiency assessments to enhance system performance.
Implement improvements based on data-driven insights and best practices.

Regulatory Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all designs comply with local and international standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
Prepare and maintain documentation required for regulatory approvals and certifications.

Research and Development:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in microgrid technology, converter technology, and embedded systems.
Contribute to R&D initiatives aimed at improving microgrid performance and reducing costs.
Innovate new solutions for energy management, demand response, and grid stability within microgrid frameworks.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with customers to understand their energy needs and provide tailored microgrid solutions.
Present technical proposals, reports, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on microgrid operation and maintenance.

Qualification and experience
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Embedded Systems, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing microgrid systems with a strong emphasis on technical and embedded system aspects.
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, energy storage technologies, and converter selection.
Proficiency in designing and developing embedded systems, control algorithms, and logic for microgrid operations.
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE) for microgrid systems.
Proficiency in using design and simulation software (e.g., HOMER, PVSyst, ETAP) and programming languages for embedded systems (e.g., C/C++, Python).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
