Job Description
Axpo Group is seeking a Meter Data Process Specialist in Lyon, France, to optimize meter data processes for the French commodity market. Responsibilities include improving validation methods, enhancing efficiency, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring data accuracy for invoicing. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 5-8 years of experience in energy or financial services, with strong analytical skills. This is a full-time position.

As a Senior Meter Data Process Specialist, you will optimize meter data processes by enhancing validation methods to ensure consistent PnL and imbalance reconciliations for the French commodity market. In this role, you’ll drive process improvements, manage data accuracy, and collaborate across teams to achieve a cost-effective and professional operational environment.
What you will do:
• Improve checks and processes to ensure the timeliness and quality of meter data.
• Continuously enhance processes and organizational structures to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with local Front Office, Balancing, Forecasting, IT and other teams to mature internal processes and conduct daily production monitoring.
• Represent business interests in working streams, workshops, and meetings while managing change requests and IT projects.
• Analyze inefficiencies, propose concepts for improvement, and lead re-engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate with external data providers to ensure timely, market-compliant data delivery.
• Ensure data availability and accuracy for invoicing and balancing in collaboration with IT and other stakeholders.
What you bring & who you are:
• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in energy or financial services industries, with strong expertise in trading or commodities markets.
• Extensive experience in process and organizational engineering and project management within trading environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a goal-oriented and team-focused mindset.
• Assertive, independent, and entrepreneurial approach with a focus on outcomes.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify essential elements in energy contracts
• Fluent in English; German, Dutch, or French is a plus.
