Job Description

ClimateHaven is seeking a Marketing and Community Paid Fellow to assist with marketing initiatives, community programs, and events. The role involves social media management, content creation, and administrative tasks, requiring 10-20 hours per week. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and experience in marketing or communications. The position offers $20/hr and runs from Spring 2024 through May 2025, with potential for extension.
About ClimateHaven: ClimateHaven is a platform for startups building breakthrough solutions in energy and climate resilience. We accelerate startups from lab to market by providing tailored company-building support and mentorship. Our dynamic incubator includes an expansive network of expert advisors, investors, strategic partners, as well as dedicated work and prototyping space.

About the Role: The Marketing and Community Fellow will assist in developing and implementing marketing initiatives via social media, newsletter writing, and website work. The Fellow will also assist with community programs and events, as well as other key tasks that contribute to ClimateHaven’s mission.

Weekly commitment: 10-20 hours a week

Compensation: $20/hr

Duration: Spring 2024 (through May 2025), with the potential to extend through summer

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and executing digital marketing strategies to enhance visibility and engagement across various digital platforms including social media, email, and our website.
• Create compelling content for social media posts, photography, video, blogs, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
• Develop graphics using Canva and/or the Adobe suite.
• Write effectively for all marketing campaigns and internal/external communications.
• Help organize and participate in community outreach events to promote the nonprofit and increase engagement.
• Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s activities.
• Aid in programming and event production and management.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
• Proficiency in social media management and content creation
• Excellent, polished writing skills for various formats (social, newsletters, blogs)
• Skilled in Canva and/or Adobe Suite for graphic design
• Ability to multitask, work efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for climate solutions and startup culture
