Job Overview:
Garbage to Garden is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Director to lead efforts in increasing curbside composting adoption, strengthening our brand presence, and fostering community engagement. This role will oversee brand messaging, campaign execution, and public relations while driving measurable growth through innovative marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Garbage to Garden’s goals for brand growth and service adoption.
• Oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, PR, print, and community-based outreach.
• Create compelling and informative content that effectively communicates our mission and services.
• Define marketing objectives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure data-driven decision-making.
• Manage public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and brand reputation.
• Lead and collaborate on marketing partnerships, sponsorships, and community events.
• Serve as a key spokesperson for the organization, with strong public speaking and writing capabilities.
• Stay current on marketing trends, tools, and best practices to continually refine strategies.
• Oversee brand consistency, messaging, and voice across all platforms.
• Supervise and support GTG Street Teams in direct marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience developing and executing marketing and communication strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep understanding of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content strategy.
• Strong initiative and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
• Basic photography skills.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing and communications.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Access to a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed at the federal rate).
• Occasional travel to Massachusetts or Rhode Island required.
