Schwan's Company is seeking a Marketing Associate in Minneapolis, MN to assist the Marketing Manager in developing and executing marketing programs for small to mid-size projects. The role involves strategizing, planning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and tracking marketing trends. Candidates should be enrolled in a relevant bachelor's degree program with strong project management and financial analysis skills. This position is not remote.

Why This Role Matters:
We’re excited to welcome aMarketing Associateto our team! In this dynamic role, you'll partner with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute engaging marketing programs for small to mid-size projects. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to define objectives, key phases, and product categories, while leading efforts to deliver vital information and plans. Your deep understanding of business priorities will ensure that our marketing initiatives are seamlessly integrated and effectively drive results.
Business Unit:
Food Service:1 in Pizza and Asian food categories in the U.S. with strong B2B brands and key top restaurant and C-store brand partners.
Your Impact:
Strategize and Execute:Assist in managing marketing programs by setting objectives, developing strategies, and implementing tactics that drive long-term growth and profitability.
Plan and Organize:Break down programs and campaigns into actionable components, creating detailed work plans with tasks, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and resource needs.
Create Impactful Marketing Tools:Develop compelling brand sales tools to boost product awareness, encourage trials, and clearly communicate operator solutions.
Collaborate and Innovate:Partner with cross-functional teams and agencies to bring small to mid-size marketing programs to life. Your work may span product development, branding, packaging design, advertising, and engaging customer promotions and special events.
Manage Risks:Identify and escalate potential risks to program deliverables and sustainability, ensuring timely updates to Marketing Managers, Directors, and sponsors.
Monitor Marketing Trends:Stay ahead of the curve by tracking trends and shifts in the marketplace, including competitor activities and brand performance.
Budget Mastery:Oversee daily budget management tasks, including coding invoices, creating spending reports, gathering estimates, and reconciling expenses with team budgets and corporate finance.
Leverage Insights:Use both quantitative and qualitative data—such as consumer research, competitive intelligence, and sales input—to tailor marketing efforts, strengthen customer relations, and shape annual brand/product plans. Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business performance.
Evaluate Performance:Measure and assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and campaigns to ensure they meet performance goals and drive success.
What You Bring:
Education: Current enrollment in bachelor’s degree Marketing, Business, Management, Sales, or related degree program with an anticipatedgraduation date of December 2024 or May 2025. GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Expertise in leading projects with strategic planning and execution
Proficient in financial analysis and budget management
Strong grasp of marketing principles, tools, and techniques
Ability to work across departments to leverage resources and create synergies.
Skilled in analyzing data and drawing actionable insights.Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
Years of Related Experience: 0-2 years related experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Project Management, financial acumen/analysis, Understanding of the marketing function,marketing tools and methods. Ability to communicate orally and in writing as well as work the ability to work acrossthe organization to utilize leverage and establish synergies. PC skills including Microsoft Office and Outlookproducts. Knowledge of company and group products, policies and processes along with analytical and communicationskills required; Ability to think critically and synthesize and integrate information from multiple sources
