Market Analyst - Renewable Fuels

Calumet is seeking a Market Analyst for Renewable Fuels in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves researching market conditions, building models for feedstock supply and demand, and analyzing data related to renewable fuels. Candidates should have a relevant degree and 3+ years of experience, preferably in renewable feedstock markets. Strong analytical, research, and communication skills are essential. This is a full-time position.
PURPOSE:

The successful Market Analyst will research, compile, and communicate information about the renewable fuels industry so that Montana Renewables can conduct informed commercial operations. This includes market conditions, emerging trends, and competitive landscape.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build and maintain feedstock Carbon Intensity parity model, feedstock supply / demand balances, and import / export arbitrages
• Compile Energy Information Administration data on feedstocks used in Biomass Diesel
• Back test hedging strategies
• Build product arbitrage models for renewable fuels and supply / demand balances
• Back test offtake price formulas
• Track forward curves for market sentiment changes
• Pull together 90-day, budget, and capital price decks from commercial leadership
• Model and project Renewable Information Number (RIN) bank balances
• Support due diligence and strategic corporate objectives
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
• Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in business, analysis, economics, engineering, banking or related field
• 3+ years’ experience, with 5+ preferred

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
• Renewable feedstock, product, and environmental credit markets experience
• Master’s in Business Administration(MBA) desirable
