About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its Natural Climate Solutions (NCS) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management across all aspects of the program, including the development of robust standards for monitoring, reporting, and verification of GHG removals and emissions reductions in various ecosystems. This role involves shaping and implementing strategy, managing activities and staff, and providing vision and leadership. The Managing Director will also be involved in projects related to high-integrity carbon offset standards, understanding and protecting background carbon sinks, and integrating carbon sequestration with other ecosystem benefits. The position requires a candidate with an advanced degree and at least 5 years' of relevant experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience, and a strong background in climate-related fields.

Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company's NCS program should have the ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources, advanced skills in communication and analysis, and the capacity to oversee and direct staff. The role demands a candidate with a comprehensive understanding of scientific theory and methods, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team. Desired qualifications include experience with spatial analysis, statistics, large data sets, and a solid understanding of the carbon cycle and climate change. The Managing Director will be expected to lead strategic planning, manage budgets, and ensure the program's financial sustainability. The position is based on the main campus, with the possibility of a hybrid work schedule, and may require extended hours, local travel, and occasional overnight trips.
