Manager GHG Methods and Accounting (d/f/m)

Henkel is seeking a Manager for GHG Methods and Accounting in Germany. The role involves advising on reduction potentials, data collection, ensuring compliance with standards, and engaging in ESG initiatives. Candidates should have a Master's degree in a related field, expertise in Corporate Carbon Accounting, and strong analytical skills. The position offers a flexible work scheme, including a hybrid model and the option to work remotely for up to 30 days per year.
What you'll do
• Advise, support and train bus partners and requestors on reduction potentials in line with methodological standards and towards Net Zero decisions
• Collect and collate data, conduct check and aggregate KPIs, according to regulations/standards and internal Henkel policies
• Provide feedback & enable data owners on data accuracy, completeness, and quality by creating awareness and direction
• Define calculation methodologies, ensuring compliance with international accounting, reporting standards and internal strategy
• Work in gremia and engage in advocacy efforts to drive ESG data initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide subject matter expertise for the development of automation- and visualization tools
• Simulate effects of various calculation methods, offers strategic guidance on consequences, and presents results to relevant stakeholders
• Support transversal projects and duties in the field of data analytics and Life Cycle Assessment as required by management

What makes you a good fit
• Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Expertise in Corporate Carbon Accounting, including GHG relevant accounting- and reporting standards (GHG protocol, Scope 3)
• Know-how in GHG protocol, Scope 3 standard, chemical guidances, CSRD & ESRS, accounting methodology and applications
• Good understanding in Climate related data & affinitiy to data analytics
• A strong multi-tasker-capable of planning, organizing details while communicating effectively on all levels within the organization
• Business Proficiency in English, German is a plus
