Job Description

Transwestern is seeking a Manager of Sustainability in Denver, CO. The role involves developing and implementing ESG strategies, managing energy data, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and producing environmental reports. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability. Strong project management and communication skills are essential. Some travel is required, and the position is full-time.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and implement the company's ESG strategy.
• Establish relationships with external partners to leverage resources and explore opportunities for collaboration.
• Collaborate with company leaders, attend events, and support client-specific requests to promote energy and sustainability initiatives.
• Manage company energy data for sustainable platforms like EnergyStar, LEED, WELL, and GRESB.
• Develop corporate sustainability innovations, craft communication strategies, and identify key opportunities to advance environmental practices.
• Work with property teams to align policies and procedures with governmental directives and regulations.
• Develop and execute a regular cadence of environmental reporting, including an annual sustainability report and other necessary reporting products.
• Lead the assessment and analysis of current energy usage across all properties, and support property teams with energy efficiency projects.
• Partner with senior leaders to establish long-term environmental targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and develop a prioritized roadmap to achieve sustainability goals.
• Additional duties or projects as assigned by Senior Leadership.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate sustainability or ESG, corporate governance, or related field. Commercial real estate experience a plus.
• Experience driving solutions and programs in corporate sustainability and operations, and working on sustainability strategies and industry trends.
• Proven project management skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
• Understands project scope, purpose, and audience; anticipates varying perspectives and inquiries.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, data collection, and reporting capabilities.
• High level of cultural competence and cultural agility.
• Exhibit excellent writing and verbal presentation skills.
• Some Travel Required.
